This read-only control displays the number of time ticks lost since the Run button was pressed. A lost tick occurs when the program is unable to complete an S Meter read operation with the radio in less than 50 milliseconds (1/20th of a second). The program will always accumulate the number of samples in the period, even if it takes longer than the specified sample period. For each 20 lost ticks, the sample is extended by 1 second. A relatively small number of lost ticks is probably statistically insignificant, and also probably unavoidable. If you are experiencing a large number of lost ticks, then you should make sure that you are transferring data at the fastest baud rate, and that your computer is not doing too many tasks while data logging is running. The lost tick display will only be shown if there are lost ticks (not equal to zero). Window Help
