Shared Pictures

As was the case in all previous years, here are pictures graciously emailed to me from folks who have spotted albino robins.

Montague, California

This sighting came right after the start of the year. It's a repeat visit of a bird that was in the area 10 to 11 months earlier.

Albino Robin, January 5, 2010, Montague, California USA

Fountain Inn, South Carolina

This bird was seen around February 15th, 2010.

Albino Robin, February 15, 2010, Fountain Inn, South Carolina USA

Varnell, Georgia

Albino Robin, March 14, 2010, Varnell, Georgia USA

Huron Township, Michigan

This appears to be a pure albino, although it's hard to see the eyes are pink.

Albino Robin, March 22, 2010, Huron Township, Michigan USA

Reeders, Pennsylvania

Several pictures were uploaded to this photographers Facebook page. You can find them at:

Niles, Michigan

This is another case of the same bird showing up two years in a row in the same neighborhood. The photographer has named this bird Al, which seems like an excellent name for an albino.

Albino Robin, March 30, 2010, Niles, Michigan USA

Wakarusa, Indiana

This bird was born in the neighborhood two years ago, and was seen this year about two miles away.

Albino Robin, April 1, 2010, Wakarusa, Indiana USA

Martinsburg, West Virginia

These pictures came from the same person who reported the April 11, 2009 sighting in Martinsburg. While that often means the same bird over several seasons, they think that the coloring is little different. So, it may be a different bird.

Albino Robin, April 23, 2010, Martinsburg, West Virginia USA

Bellevue, Nebraska

This bird was spotted for a few days, and then seemed to move on.

Albino Robin, April 18, 2010, Bellevue, Nebraska USA

Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, Canada

The bird has been visiting the folks for nearly a month.

Albino Robin, April 28, 2010, Saltcoats, Saskatchewan Canada

North Aurora, Illinois

This bird has been busy tending her nest with an egg in it. The photographers had to wait patiently for her to pose away from the nest.

Albino Robin, May 10, 2010, North Aurora, Illinois USA

Chaska, Minnesota

This happy robin is singing from the roof tops, and is apparently quite happy with life in Chaska.

Albino Robin, June 28, 2010, Chaska, Minnesota USA

Strongsville, Ohio

Here are 4 very nice pictures of an albino robin that has been around Strongsville, Ohio, for some time.

Albino Robin, May 4, 2010, Strongsville, Ohio USA

Lincoln, Nebraska

No doubt this is a pure albino, since the pink eyes come through very clearly in these pictures.

Albino Robin, July 15, 2010, Lincoln, Nebraska USA

Park City, Utah

Where are all of the sightings this year? It's been a month since the last one. This bird had its picture taken in Park City, Utah.

Albino Robin, August 16, 2010, Park City, Utah USA
