This page describes the controls on the main window.

Frequency (RF DDS)

The RF DDS frequency. Data is entered according the the KHz/MHz choice on the Options dialog.

Phase Angle (RF DDS)

The RF DDS phase angle.

Power Down (RF DDS)

The power down state of the RF DDS.

Frequency (LO DDS)

The LO DDS frequency. Data is entered according the the KHz/MHz choice on the Options dialog. This control will not be enabled id the LO DDS is set to follow the frequency of the RF DDS on the Options dialog box.

Phase Angle (LO DDS)

The LO DDS phase angle.

Power Down (LO DDS)

The power down state of the LO DDS.

Result (ADC)

The ADC result from the most recent conversion. The data format is either volts, or raw data from the chip.

Atten

Select the attenuator setting. This is a three-bit value which appears on the parallel port. Please see the N2PK extended parallel port assignments.

Test Set Sw

Select the Test Set Sw setting. This is a one-bit value which appears on the parallel port. Please see the N2PK extended parallel port assignments.

Set DDS

The DDS chips (both of them) are updated to reflect the RF and LO DDS control values. This control will not be enabled if the automatic DDS setting control is enabled on the Options dialog. box. If that control is enabled, then each change (edit, selection, click) to any of the 6 combined RF and LO DDS state controls will cause an automatic update of both chips.

Reset DDS

The DDS chips are reset when this control is clicked.

Get ADC

Start an ADC conversion, and display the result in the ADC Result control. This control will not be enabled if the continuous ADC mode is enabled on the Options dialog box.

Overlap Test

Displays the Overlap Test dialog box. This control will not be enabled if the continuous ADC mode is enabled on the Options dialog box.

Options

Displays the Options dialog box.

Help

Brings up the HTML Help Viewer, displaying the overview page.

About

Brings up the About dialog box.

Exit

Terminate the program..
